Kudeti Estate Residents Urge Sanwo-Olu and Obasa to Tackle Land Grabbing Issue
Residents of Kudeti Estate, situated in the Ikeja area of Lagos State, have issued a plea to the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, seeking their assistance in resolving the persistent challenges posed by land grabbers within their community.
This appeal was made during a recent press conference held within the estate premises.
The residents passionately urged the state government to enforce the 2016 Lagos State Property Protection law, which explicitly prohibits the use of force or self-help tactics by individuals or groups to unlawfully acquire land or property.
One resident, who chose to remain anonymous, emphasized the proximity of Kudeti Estate to the Governor’s Office and the potential repercussions if any unrest were to arise from their plight, expressing a strong desire for peaceful coexistence within the state. He stated, “As law-abiding citizens, we fervently hope to avert such a situation.
